Planned Parenthood Arizona Announces New Board Member – MaryAnn Guerra

PHOENIX, Ariz – Planned Parenthood Arizona is pleased to announce the election of 13 new members to its Board of Directors – 11 adult members and two youth members. Phoenix resident MaryAnn Guerra, MBA, is among the members who began their terms on July 1, 2012.

Guerra brings to the organization her background in strategic planning and business development and is a member of the Mollen Foundation and Flinn BioScience Roadmap Steering Committee. She recently received Phoenix Business Journal’s “Top 25 Women in Business” award. MaryAnn is currently the CEO, as well as co-founder of BioAccel.

“I am an advocate for women and health,” explains Guerra. “Planned Parenthood is a great source of information for young women who have questions about important health issues, but don’t know where to turn to get the answers. I know this first hand because as a young college student away from home, I sought advice and care from Planned Parenthood.”

Planned Parenthood Arizona is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, serving Arizonans statewide with reproductive health care. The organization is advised and served by a board of 27 volunteer members from across Arizona.
